ITINERARY SCHEDULE

1 :- Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your comfortable transportation. You’ll then embark on a short, 10-minute drive to your hotel, conveniently located in Entebbe town, just minutes away from the airport. Upon arrival at your accommodation, K Hotels or a similar establishment, you will check in and have the opportunity to settle into your room. The hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere, allowing you to relax and refresh after your journey. This evening is yours to unwind and prepare for the exciting adventures that lie ahead.

2 :- Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

This morning, you’ll check out of your hotel and catch a flight to Kihihi Airstrip in western Uganda. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to Buhoma Lodge, situated in the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The drive to the lodge takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering a scenic introduction to the lush surroundings. Once at Buhoma Lodge, you’ll check in and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Batwa pygmy community, one of the earliest ethnic groups in Uganda. This enriching experience will provide insight into their unique way of life, history, and traditions. After your visit, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, resting comfortably in preparation for the adventures ahead. Accommodation will be at Buhoma Gorilla Lodge or a similar establishment.

 

 

 

3 :- Gorilla Tracking activity

Start your day with an early breakfast or a packed breakfast if you prefer. Depart from the lodge between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM and head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) office, a short 20-minute drive from the lodge. Here, you will attend a briefing session at 8:00 AM, which will last between 15 to 30 minutes, preparing you for the exhilarating gorilla tracking adventure ahead. The tracking itself is unpredictable as gorillas move throughout the forest, so the activity may take a few hours or up to half a day. Once you encounter the gorillas, you’ll have the remarkable opportunity to spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After your gorilla tracking experience, return to the park headquarters where your driver will transport you back to Buhoma Lodge or a similar accommodation for the evening.

4 :- Bwindi to Ishasha (Queen Elizabeth National Park)

After an early breakfast, you’ll depart from Bwindi/Buhoma Lodge at 7:00 AM and transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive to Ishasha will take approximately 2 hours, with an expected arrival time of around 9:00 AM. Spend the day exploring this unique sector, known for its distinctive savannah woodland vegetation. Ishasha is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, which often perch high in the large acacia trees, making for a spectacular wildlife viewing experience. After a day of safari exploration, you’ll head to your lodge at about 6:00 PM. Accommodation for the night will be at Ishasha Wilderness Camp or a similar establishment.

5 :- Depart Ishasha sector for Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with a refreshing early morning game drive, departing between 6:30 and 7:00 AM to take advantage of the cooler temperatures and increased wildlife activity. This drive offers an excellent opportunity to spot a variety of animals in their natural habitat, including the diverse species that inhabit the Ishasha sector.

After the game drive, you’ll make your way to Mweya Safari Lodge, located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey to the lodge takes you through scenic landscapes and diverse ecosystems, with an anticipated arrival in the afternoon. Once at the lodge, you’ll be greeted and shown to your room, where you can unpack and unwind.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the lodge, savoring local and international cuisine while overlooking the stunning views of the park. In the afternoon, take some time to relax and explore the lodge’s amenities, which might include a swimming pool or a scenic terrace.

As evening approaches, prepare for an adventurous evening game drive that continues into a night drive. This unique safari experience allows you to encounter nocturnal wildlife and witness the park’s transformation as day turns into night. Keep an eye out for elusive creatures that come to life after dark, and enjoy the thrill of spotting animals with the help of a spotlight.

After your night drive, you’ll return to Mweya Safari Lodge around 8:00 PM, where you can enjoy a hearty dinner and share stories of the day’s adventures with fellow travelers. The lodge offers a comfortable and tranquil setting, perfect for a restful night’s sleep before the next day’s activities.

6 :- Predator Tracking program starting at 7:00 AM and lasts 3-4 hours.

Today’s adventure includes a private excursion with expert carnivore researchers and trackers, offering a rare opportunity to observe the behavior of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s collared carnivores. During this specialized activity, you’ll have the chance to see impressive predators such as lions, leopards, and, occasionally, hyenas as they go about their daily routines in the park.

After this fascinating experience, return to Mweya Safari Lodge to enjoy a delightful lunch at the restaurant, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Kazinga Channel. The lodge’s restaurant provides a perfect vantage point to appreciate the natural beauty of the park while savoring a delicious meal.

In the afternoon, set out for a private boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, a highlight of the park known for its rich diversity of wildlife. This excursion, starting at 2:00 PM and concluding between 4:00 and 5:00 PM, will offer you close-up views of a variety of animals, including birds, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes, as they congregate along the channel.

Following your boat safari, embark on a thrilling night game drive, providing an opportunity to spot nocturnal wildlife and experience the park’s nighttime environment. The night drive will end around 8:00 PM, after which you’ll return to Mweya Safari Lodge for a well-deserved dinner and a restful night’s stay.

7 :- Morning game drive and Chimp tracking

Today begins with an early morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kasenyi Plains, renowned for its expansive savannah and diverse wildlife. As you traverse these vast plains, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter herds of elephants, various antelope species, buffaloes, and an array of birdlife, all set against picturesque landscapes.

After your game drive, which will conclude in time for an early or packed lunch, you’ll transfer to Kyambura Gorge for an exhilarating chimp-tracking excursion. Upon arrival at Kyambura Gorge, you’ll receive a brief orientation before venturing into the lush, forested gorge. This experience will allow you to observe and learn about one of Uganda’s iconic great apes in their natural habitat.

Following your chimp-tracking adventure, return to Mweya Safari Lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay. The lodge provides a comfortable setting to unwind and reflect on the day’s remarkable experiences.

 

8 :- Queen Elizabeth National Park - Entebbe - Jinja

Today, you’ll check out of your accommodation and take a flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver and begin your journey eastward to Jinja, renowned as the historic source of the Nile River and celebrated as the adrenaline capital of East Africa. The drive from Entebbe to Jinja takes approximately 3 hours, offering scenic views of the Ugandan countryside along the way. Upon reaching Jinja, check in at your lodge and take full advantage of the exceptional amenities available. The lodge provides a comfortable and luxurious setting where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. Accommodation will be at Lemala Wild Waters Lodge or a similar establishment, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay as you prepare to explore the exciting activities Jinja has to offer.

 

9 :- Jinja Activities

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your lodge, set out to experience some of Jinja’s most exciting activities. Begin with a horse riding excursion that takes you along the picturesque course of the Nile River. As you ride, you’ll traverse diverse landscapes and soak in the serene beauty of the riverbanks, providing a unique perspective on the region’s natural beauty. Following your horse riding adventure, embark on a leisurely boat cruise to the Source of the Nile. This iconic destination is not only a geographical marvel but also holds profound significance for Uganda and Africa. During the boat cruise, you’ll be guided through the history and cultural importance of the Nile River, learning about its journey and its vital role in sustaining life across the continent. After your boat cruise, return to your lodge, where you can unwind and enjoy the luxurious amenities provided. Lemala Wild Waters Lodge or a similar establishment offers an idyllic setting to relax, with its beautiful surroundings and comfortable accommodations. 10 :- Jinja - Entebbe International Airport

This morning, check out of your accommodation and prepare for your departure. You’ll travel back to Entebbe Airport, allowing ample time for your flight check-in and security procedures. As you journey to the airport, reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had throughout your Ugandan adventure. Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you’ll catch your flight back home, concluding your memorable trip with a wealth of stories and cherished memories.
