ITINERARY SCHEDULE

Day 1 :- Calicut Airport – Wayanad 08:45hrs
Arrival at Calicut Airport, meet the driver, followed by a 3hr drive to Wayanad for check-in at Wayanad Wild. Wayanad has seen a recent tourism boom and is now one of the most popular tourist destinations of Kerala. It is the only district in Kerala that shares its borders with both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu states. For this reason, it is often visited by tourists from these states. The only Earth Dam in India is Banasura Sagar Dam and the only pine forest of Kerala is Chandanathode. Wayanad also has the largest population of Asian elephants in the world. Overnight stay at Wayanad Wild, Wayanad. (Meals: Lunch & dinner at resort).
Day 2 :- Wayanad Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed the sightseeing in Wayanad. Visit Kuruvadweep : Kuruvadweep is a 950-acre protected river delta on the Kabini River in the Wayanad district, Kerala, India. Kuruvadweep is the only island surrounded with naturally purified water source in Kerala. These group of islands consists of dense and evergreen forest that is uninhabited and hence home to rare kinds of flora and fauna: endemic species of birds, orchids and herbs namely. Its unique geographical characteristics make it a place where not only the leaves but also silence is evergreen. Its 16.7 km from the nearest town itself and thus it has become a place of attraction. Later Visit Edakkal Caves: Edakkal Caves are two natural caves at a remote location at Edakkal, 25 km (15.5 mi) from Kalpetta in the Wayanad district of Kerala in India’s Western Ghats. They lie 1,200 m (3,900 ft) above sea level on Ambukutty Mala, near an ancient trade route connecting the high mountains of Mysore to the ports of the Malabar coast. Inside the caves are pictorial writings believed to date to at least 6,000 BCE, from the Neolithic man, indicating the presence of a prehistoric civilization or settlement in this region. The Stone Age carvings of Edakkal are rare and are the only known examples from South India. Return to Hotel. Overnight stay at Wayanad Wild, Wayanad. (Meals: Lunch & dinner at resort).


Day 3 :- Wayanad - Munnar (400 Km/ 11 Hrs Drive) 06:30hrs
Leave for your longest drive of the trip, from Wyanad to Munnar. Take packed breakfast with you. On arrival check in to hotel. Munnar is a “Nature lovers paradise”. Drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar, a popular getaway retreat. Surrounded by lush green tea estates, this picturesque hill station boosts of exotic flora and fauna. Overnight stay at Blackberry Hills, Munnar (Meals: Packed BF from Wild Wyanad; Lunch on own & dinner at Blackberry Hills resort).
Day 4 :- Munnar Sightseeing Breakfast at the hotel
Go sightseeing of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam Park -The main inhabitant of the Eravikulam park is Nilgiri Tahr and now the park has the largest known population of Tahrs existing in the world. Visit Tea Museum :- The museum diligently portrays the growth of Munnar tea estates, veritably conveyed through some of the displays like the rudimentary tea roller to the modern fully automated tea factory. Visitors to the museum can satiate their curiosity on various stages of tea processing. Day 5 :- Munnar Sightseeing Breakfast at residing hotel
Morning visit Mattupetty dam :- Situated in the famous hill town of Munnar, Mattupetty located 13 km from Munnar is situated at a height of 1700 m, and is a delight for nature lovers ,One of the main attractions in Mattupetty is the beautiful lake, and the Mattupetty Dam. Afternoon visit Echo Point ;- (15 km from Munnar) This scenic place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. This is an ideal place for trekking. The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view make it worth a visit. Overnight stay at Munnar Hotel. (Meals: BF & dinner at Blackberry Hills resort).
Day 6 :- Munnar – Kumarakom
145kms/ 6hrs drive Breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom. On arrival check in at Hotel.KUMARAKOM slumbers on the banks of the famous Vembanad Lake, which is a part of Kuttanad (‘granary’ of Kerala). The Vembanad Lake with its majestic canals, streams and distributaries along its banks, weave an intricate and enchantingly beautiful web. The bird sanctuary here is an ornithologist’s paradise and a favorite haunt of migratory birds. Country canoe rides, village walks, sunset cruises and a rejuvenating Ayurveda message are a few options among many. Overnight stay at the Coconut Lagoon. (Meals: BF at Blackberry Hills, lunch on own & dinner at Coconut Lagoon).


Day 7 :- Kumarakom
Breakfast at residing Hotel and explore the hotel activities (Village walks, country canoe rides, sunset cruises or a rejuvenating Ayrvedic Massage to name a few among the many activities). Overnight stay at the hotel. (Meals: BF , lunch & dinner at Coconut Lagoon).
Day 8 :- Kumarakom – Alleppey – Kumarakom
Breakfast at residing Hotel. Morning drive to Alleppy. Visit Alleppey beach and Market. Afternoon return to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel. (Meals: BF , lunch & dinner at Coconut Lagoon).


Day 9 :- Kumarakom – Marari, 30kms, 1hr approx
Breakfast at hotel Relax till lunch at Coconut lagoon. Check out from the hotel at noon, have lunch and then drive to Marari Beach Resort. On arrival check in at Hotel. Check-in your hotel on arrival. Mararikulam (Marari) is a typical fishing village, located on the southwest coast of central Kerala. Marari is the experience of clean and pristine shoreline, swaying coconut palms, thatched huts, small paths that crisscross through courtyards and a striking view of the sunset. Overnight stay at Hotel. (Meals: BF , lunch at Coconut Lagoon; dinner at Marari).
Day 10 :- Marari
Breakfast at Hotel. Enjoy the serene BEACH, SUN and the SAND. Overnight stay at hotel. (Meals: BF , lunch & dinner at Marari).


Day 11 :- Marari – Kochi , 50kms/ 1hr 30mins
Breakfast at hotel. Relax till lunch at Marari. Check out from the hotel at noon, have lunch and then transfer to Kochi. On arrival check in at hotel. A metropolitan city in the federal state of Kerala, Kochi is one of the most popular city in India and also has the name the “Queen of Arabian Sea” as it was an important spice trading centre. Over night stay at Old Harbour hotel. (Meals: BF , lunch at Marari; dinner on own at Kochi).
Day 12 :- Kochi Sightseeing
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed Cochin Sightseeing. Morning proceed on a sightseeing tour of Cochin visiting – ‘The Dutch Palace’ with mural paintings, ‘The St. Francis Church’ the oldest European Church in India and finally to the Cochin Chinese fishing nets. Overnight stay at Hotel. (Meals: BF at Old Harbour; lunch and dinner on own)


Day 13 :- Departure
Cochin Airport Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depending on the flight time, we can allocate 2-3 hrs for local shopping, before departing for the airport. (Meals: BF at Old Harbour; lunch on own)

- Any expenses caused by reasons beyond our control such as Covid related rules, bad weather, natural calamities (landslides, floods), flight (or any other mode of transport) delays, rescheduling or cancellations, any accidents, medical evacuations, riots, strikes, war, etc. We recommend that travel insurance be taken out by the client to cover all contingencies.
Any tips to drivers, hotel staff, any meals apart from the ones mentioned above. - Any other tax or Govt levies that could be enforced during this period will be extra and need to be borne by you.
Note
1. Prices are quoted based on tentative itinerary given to you. This is not the final itinerary. Our booking process starts on receiving full payment in advance from you. We try our best to maintain the same itinerary given to you initially. However, it is possible that at the time of booking (and especially during the peak season) the hotel or the room category mentioned by us is full. In that case we will give you an alternate hotel or an alternate room (higher category or lower category). Change in costs, if any, will be intimated to you and balance payable by you or to you will be paid by you or refunded to you as the case may be.
2. Sometimes, we may also have to change the itinerary to accommodate the bookings or for other logistic/operational reasons eg. Not getting a particular hotel on a particular date may force us to twist the itinerary a bit to accommodate that at an earlier or later date. Changes in costs, if any, will be adhered to by both the clients and TW.
3. Generally check in time at all hotels is 2pm and check out time between 10am to 12noon (depending on individual hotels). This will be intimated to you at the time of booking. In case you arrive at the hotel well before that time, you will have to wait at the lobby till the official check in time. Normally, we ‘request’ for an ‘early’ check in at no extra cost. In case there is room available AND on the complete discretion of the hotel management, you may be allotted a room earlier. If you want an early check in on Guaranteed Basis, then they will charge you 1 night extra cost. Same goes for request for late check out. In the absence of any SPECIFIC written request from the client for guaranteed early or late check in/check out respectively, The Wanderers will presume that it is on ‘Request Basis’.
4. All domestic tours are subject to a GST of 5%. This is not applicable on airfares. Our quotations do not include this GST. This is payable over and above what we quote to you.
5. Airport check in for domestic flights:
Due to additional security blankets being thrown at most airports in India, be sure to REACH the airport at least 3hrs prior to actual departure.
6.Extra beds in hotels:
Not every hotel allows extra persons or extra beds or extra mattresses in the rooms. So, in case you have extra persons who want to share a room, we will check with the hotel and advise you whether its allowed or not and the cost thereof. Sometimes hotel may allow a 3rd person in a room but will not be in a position to provide you with an extra mattress.

Tour Cancellation:
All notice of cancellation must be sent to our Mumbai office in writing. This could either be a fax or an e-mail. Verbal cancellations will not be entertained. There is also no refund for services not utilised.
There will be a cancellation fee as under:
30 days prior to Tour departure date: 50 % cancellation.
29 -20 days: 75 % cancellation
19 days and below including no show: 100 % cancellation
However, in certain cases, the cancellation charges could be strict depending on the supplier (eg hotelier, ship/ cruise liner, transporter, special experience provider etc) or peak season travel (eg New Year, Christmas, major festivals etc) or special events (eg a Sports event, a convention in the destination etc) in which case we will refer those terms to you at the time of booking.
Cancellation of airfares:
This will be subject to respective airline cancellation rules for the category of ticket purchased. Over and above what is charged by the airline, TW will charge an administrative fee of Rs.500 per ticket per person. Refunds, if any, on airfares will be made, through the proper channels, only after we get the refunds from the airlines, which at times can take upto 60 days or more.
Refunds on tours:
Request for any refund should be made by the client in writing within 14 days of the scheduled completion of all services. This should be backed up by signed documentary evidence from the service provider including hotelier/transporter/operator etc. No processing for refunds will be entertained without written request duly backed by documentary evidence. Refunds, if any, on tours will be made by The Wanderers after 30days of receipt of such request from the client. All refunds to clients will be made by cheque (INR) in favour of clients in whose name Money Receipts have been made. Under no circumstances will any refund to clients be made in cash even if The Wanderers has received the tour money in cash. In case of inbound remittance of funds from an off-shore account, we will make the refund directly to that bank account and all charges pertaining to that transfer will be borne by the beneficiary. In case the booking is made through a travel agent, then we will send the refund to the travel agent and you must receive your refund directly from the agent. Some travel agents may, at their discretion, withhold an agency cancellation fee. The Wanderers is not responsible for payments made to the passengers travel agent but not received by The Wanderers, or for the passengers receipt of any refund which The Wanderers has paid to the passenger’s travel agent.
Note on cancellation of tour by the client: We may review our cancellation policy provided a ‘WAR’ situation arises (as opposed to a ‘war-like’ situation) forcing you to cancel your tour. ‘War’ situation will be defined only if the Indian Govt.. or the Govt.. of the country you are traveling to imposes an official emergency declaring war. This definition is not open to interpretation.
Covid related cancellation for travel within India: In case the Govt. of the State you are traveling to or the Indian Govt.. imposes travel bans due to Covid, and the person is unable to travel, then we will discuss with the hotel and other travel partners associated with the tour, and at their sole discretion, we will put the amount paid under a credit shell. In certain cases like a ship or train fare, some attractions etc, this may not be possible and a full 100% cancellation could be levied. The credit shell would come into effect only if the entire value of the tour is paid off. The duration of the credit shell will be intimated to you and could range from 3 months to 12 months at the sole discretion of the travel partners. In all other cases, including Covid sickness of a traveler, normal cancellations would apply.
