ITINERARY SCHEDULE
Day 1 :- DEPART FOR KOCHI
On arrival in Kochi you will be greeted by a Wanderers representative and transferred to hotel. Check in time is 1400 hrs. We will proceed in the afternoon for half day tour of Kochi with your driver and a guide. Visit St Francis Church which is one of the oldest European churches in India which has been passed down by three colonial powers. There’s the Dutch Palace by the Portuguese as a Gift for the Maharaja of Cochin in exchange for trading rights and stands as a fine example of a blend of European and Keralite architecture. Later, stop by the Paradesi Synagogue, at the heart of what is locally called Jew town. Make your way through the narrow stretch of road at Jew town with antique shops that have artefacts from all over the world. Meals included: None
Overnight at Brunton Boatyard – non sea facing room in Kochi.
Day 2 :- KOCHI - MUNNAR (153 KMS, +/- 5 HOURS)
You will be picked up by our driver and proceed to Munnar in the morning around 09:00 hrs. If you leave early, then you can visit a small Elephant Kraal at Kodandu. Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful and a haven of peace and tranquillity, an idyllic tourist destination in God’s own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district. It’s unending expanse of tea plantations, pristine valleys and mountains and exotic species of flora and fauna will leave you in awe. On arrival check in to the hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure.

Day 3 :- MUNNAR
After breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park, 15 km from Munnar, known for Nilgiri tahr, an endangered species. Once the summer resort of the British, Munnar is famed for its tea and nearly 55,000 acres of land are covered with tea plantations. Head out to Mattupetty Dam, the scattered villages, Eco-Point, Kundala Dam, Top Station, Nyayamkad & Attukal Waterfalls and later, the tea factory. Shop at the old charming Munnar local market.

Day 4 :- MUNNAR – THEKKADY (124 KMS, +/- 4 HOURS)
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. We shall begin our drive to Thekkady after breakfast. On arrival check-in to the hotel. Thekkady, with its unspoilt tropical forests and incredible wealth of animal and plant life is a nature lover’s paradise. It is a delight because of its unending chain of hills with scented spice plantations along with tea, coffee and cardamom. Check in the hotel in the afternoon. At the resort you can hop on an elephant and go on an Elephant Ride (optional and payable directly). Enjoy a ride on the back of this mighty beast. The Spice Village is famous for having cooking sessions with the chef, yoga, tennis, badminton and eco activities. You can also opt. for a soft trek and bamboo rafting. (Optional and payable directly).

Day 5 :- AT THEKKADY
Begin your day with an early morning boat cruise on the Periyar Lake. Periyar is one of the largest wildlife reserves in India. A boat ride on the splendid Periyar lake is the best way to take in the beauty of the sanctuary. The exotic fauna of the sanctuary can be seen while on the cruise. After breakfast, you will visit a spice plantation. Over twelve varieties of spices are cultivated in and around Kumily. The spice plantation tour covers the plantations of cardamom, pepper, vanilla, clove, nutmeg etc. and also some ayurvedic plants and herbs. In the evening you will be taken to see the unique martial art of Kerala – Kalaripayattu. Watch as the practitioners of the oldest martial art in the world use its discipline to make high leaps and swift moves.

Day 6 :- THEKKADY – KUMARAKOM (122 KM, + / - 3HRS 23 MIN)
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival in Kumarakom, proceed for check-in at your hotel. It is a beautiful town situated in the hills and is surrounded by some of the most fertile and picturesque scenery in the state with serene palm-fringed backwaters on the west and the Western Ghats on the east. Relax in the afternoon at this backwater paradise. Enjoy the sunset cruise in the evening that is arranged for you.

Day 7 :- KUMARAKOM – ALLEPPEY
Board your private one bedroom Houseboat in the morning. A sojourn in Kettuvallams, the houseboats of Kerala, offers a panoramic view of the palm-fringed backwaters. Your meals will be cooked and served on board. The coastal town of Alleppey on the Arabian Sea is the Venice of the East, for the numerous canals that make their way through the town.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Overnight at anchorage on Vembanad lake in an Ac houseboat.
Day 8 :- ALLEPPEY – KOVALAM (175 KMS, +/- 5 HOURS)
After breakfast alight from the houseboat and drive to Kovalam beach. On arrival in Kovalam, check in at the hotel. Kovalam is situated just outside Trivandrum and is a picture postcard cliché with its age old black rocks, towering palms, silver white sand and gentle surf. The falcate shaped beach is bordered with coconut trees, which gently sway with a soft breeze. The silvery white sands are ideal for a leisure walk in the evening while the crystal clear water will invite you to jump in for a swim. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 9 :- DAY TRIP TO KANYAKUMARI (82 KM +/-2 HRS 21 MIN)
Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Post breakfast you will depart for Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India and the meeting point of 3 water bodies: The Sangam of The Arabian Sea, The Indian Ocean and The Bay of Bengal. Visit the Vivekananda memorial. Return back to Kovalam.
Meals included: Breakfast Overnight at Leela Kovalam Garden view room.
Day 10 :- DEPART TRIVANDRUM
Transfer to Trivandrum international airport to board the flight for onward journey. That brings an end to a dream holiday
